CC - 1: Pistol - Concealed Carry (Basic)
Concealed Carry - Level 1
This course discusses basic topics specific to carrying a concealed firearm in public places (how to, ethics, and legal issues plus more), how to draw from a holster, and concerns about shooting in a public space when defending yourself or others. Both the classroom and range portions are required. A minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition is needed for the range portion of instruction.
Shooting is done at a private range.
NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting or similar formal training is needed. If you provide a certificate from another school other than Stealth Defense or Front Sight, there will be a 15 min basic pistol safety evaluation performed under an instructor’s direction before you are allowed to sit for the range portion of this class.
The safety evaluation will start at 7:30am on the day of class. Those who do not pass the safety evaluation may choose to transfer their enrollment to a basic pistol class held at a later date, or receive a 75% refund of their enrollment fee.

Refresher of gun safety rules, refresher of basic gun handling, Legal, ethical responsibilities related with a self-defense shooting, legal and civil liabilities and your options.

On the range:
We will bring all the firearm safety rules into action, we discuss the basics of carry types, locations, and how to draw a gun from a holster (on and off body). Topics include: what to do with your gun when using a public restroom, 5-steps of drawing a pistol, shooting stances, refresher on grip, sight alignment & picture, dry-practice drawing and holstering, live (loaded gun) drawing and holstering, loading and unloading without a bench, checking our weapon clear, the 3-secrets of accurate shooting, controlled pair at 3, 7, 15 yards.
